We've had searches done for dating info and parts specs for the cable-pull pedal steel line to no avail as well. Unfortunately Fender's records of steel production, serial numbers, and most parts specs have been lost. You can check for pot dates, but as Fender purchased huge orders of pots in the 50's and 60's it's only a "as late as" date checker and only if it can be verified by someone who knows how to check for untouched solder joints (i.e. As this is apparenly a refinish all bets are off. Usually the best way to get a rough date on these is by the presence (or lack thereof ) of plates or decals on the body.
